Tropical Storm Debby has entered the gulf at 13mph and now has wind speeds around 60 mph. Debby is expected to make landfall to the east of Panama City Beach as at least a Category 1 Hurricane about mid-day on Monday.
Although the eye of the storm will strike to the east of Panama City Beach, we do expect Tropical Storm force winds and rain, flash flooding, and dangerous driving conditions. Rip currents and tornados are also possible.
No mandatory evacuations have been announced or are anticipated at this time for Panama City Beach or Santa Rosa Beach.
We strongly recommend that you adjust your travel plans so that you are not traveling through the storm on Monday. Arrivals and Departures on Monday are not advised.
Any moveable furniture or items on the balcony should be moved inside by 5pm on Sunday afternoon.
We will continue to monitor Debby as she moves through the gulf.
