Boutique shopping can be so much fun! It fills a need that shopping online doesn’t. If you KNOW what you want, shopping and ordering online will work for you. But, if you’re like me, I don’t know how to style myself and I’m too scared to try the latest trends, so I enjoy the experience of shopping in a boutique store. It helps me feel confident that I am choosing trendy items. The boutique store owners are always so helpful when I ask if they have shoes or jewelry to go along with an outfit I’m considering.
It’s also a great time to enjoy some time with friends or family, as they always help me to feel good about myself or compliment me on what I’m trying on, and vice versa. And, shopping with friends or family also creates memories that you can cherish forever, unlike shopping online.
Buying from small and local businesses is often something I try to do, instead of purchasing from big companies. You get a personal touch that is second to none, and you’re also helping to build your community. The staff typically knows more about their products than if you went to a big box store, and they can help you find the right outfit based on your needs. Boutique shops don’t just sell clothing. They find unique brands that they think their customers might appreciate. Who wants to wear an outfit that someone else is wearing, especially when you run into that “someone” at a party?
“I’m not shopping. I’m supporting the economy 💪🌐”
On my most recent visit to Panama City Beach, I was invited to a last minute gathering and I did NOT bring anything appropriate to wear. Let’s face it, I was planning on days at the beach and my nights at casual restaurants, not a function that required more than swimwear or shorts. I thought I’d do some boutique shopping at some local establishments and here are a few stores that I found.
Pink Narcissus
Located in Pier Park at 700 Pier Park Drive, the Pink Narcissus has the cutest styles for girls and women and they carry swimwear, active wear, tops, dresses, shorts, skirts, rompers, and jumpsuits. To top that off, they also have accessories and gifts, such as earrings and bracelets, canvas totes and sandals to go with that perfect dress! Stop in and take a look at their items. This is where I found my dress to wear to my last minute invitation!
Magnolia June
Magnolia June is also located in Pier Park at 701 Pier Park Drive, Suite 117. They are a cute women’s fashion shop that offers clothing, purses jewelry, and even ball caps. The staff was nice when I arrived, very pleasant, and helped me find what I needed. I really enjoyed my visit to Magnolia June!
Boca Boutique & Galeri
Boca Boutique & Galeri is a fun shop. They are located in Santa Rosa Beach in the Watercolor Crossing Shopping Center, Suite 102. They had fun and cute clothing, hats, jewelry, shoes, boots and sandals. I loved their selection of candles and bought a few, thinking how glad I was that I drove and didn’t have to try to put them in carry-on luggage. I think it’s worth a trip to see what they offer and they said they are continually changing their stock to meet their customer’s needs.
“Whoever said money can’t buy happiness simply didn’t know where to go shopping.” – Bo Derek
I always think of shopping as good retail therapy. Whether I’m feeling overworked or stressed about things in general, a good boutique store (or two) with my best friends or family, has always made me feel better! My favorite time is any free time, and that’s usually when I’m on vacation. You know you need it so, while you’re on vacation, go and enjoy some retail therapy!
If you still need a place to vacation….we’re always here for you to help you relax and enjoy the best things in life!
