Tropical Storm Milton continues to move through the gulf at 6mph and wind speeds at 65mph. Milton is expected to become a hurricane later today, then continue to intensify as it moves across the gulf. It’s expected to make landfall on the Fl peninsula (Tampa area) sometime on Wednesday.
While the Panama City Beach area and the Santa Rosa Beach area are not in the direct path, we DO anticipate Tropical Storm force winds and rain as it passes by. The winds will begin as early as Tuesday and will continue as the storm passes through. This can also lead to tornados and storm surge or flooding in the area and on the roadways, making travel more difficult.
As always we will continue to monitor this storm and send updates as expectations change.
